Study On The Problems In The Process Of Teaching And Learning English Focusing On Active And Passive Voice For The Six Year Classes Of SD Negeri Bitahan 1 Rantau

Abstrak

The objective of this research is toknow the process of teaching and learning English focusing on active and passive voice at SD Negeri Bitahan 1 Rantau Year 2010-2011.  The Research is a study problems in the teaching-and learning English at SD  Negeri Bitahan 1 Rantau. It is mainly meant to find out the profile of the problems in the teaching-and-learning at SD Negeri Bitahan 1 Rantau and at the same time provides some suggestions to improve the process and the achievement of teaching and learning basic english language to develop the whole language skills. As the study is based on a class-action-research, there are 3 cycles, namely, the study of actual teaching-and-learning in class, the planning of the some improve process of teaching-and-learning, and the actuation of the plan in the class, and finally the revision of the process of teaching-and-learning.  The results of the research show that students ability in using active and passive voice in Present tense and present perfect tense commanly is low. Only a few students who are highly interested in learning English. The rest follows the English lessons with little interest. Students in general are highly dependent on the teacher. No teacher, no learning activities. Learning English is entirely in the English classes only. At home there is no such activity.
