PROBLEMA SEKTOR INFORMAL DI PELAIHARI
Kata Kunci:
pedicab, informal sector.Abstrak
Informal sector work carried out by the workforce or workers who are not educated and trained
to work in the formal sector, especially those with family responsibilities, should not be hindered, either
through repressive or preventive policies, because informal sector work may be very vital in reducing the
increase in unemployment in urban areas, through opportunities for the urban poor to earn income in the
informal sector. In the Pelaihari area, the rickshaw transportation service sector can be considered as
helping the poor in terms of the availability of cheap transportation, so that it can be reached by the lower
middle class. It also plays an important role in the existence of a variety of services for the continuity of
economic activity in other informal sectors. This can be seen from the importance of becak transportation
services for most small traders who transport all their wares from the market to other places or take their
wares to their homes and so on. Without the low cost service provided by pedicab transportation services,
small industries in the informal sector will be directed at much higher costs.
