This study aims to determine the direct effect of empirical evidence building job characteristics which are
modified by the variables of task variation, task identity, task significance, task autonomy, and task feedback on the
work motivation of sub-district employees in Banjarbaru City both simultaneously and partially.
The results of the analysis show that f count is 22.862 with sig. 0.000, r-square 0.741 proves that task variation,
task identity, task significance, task autonomy and task feedback simultaneously influence the work motivation of
village employees created in the Banjarbaru City area. In addition to the feedback variable, four exogenous variables
have a positive effect on the performance of this village employee. The results of the regression t test prove that
partially the five exogenous variables have a significant effect on the work motivation of this sub-district employee,
namely all t counts > from t table (t = 0.05) = 2.021. has the most dominant (positive) influence on the work
motivation of village employees in the Banjarbaru City area.
