A sharp spotlight on the performance of organizing public services has become an actual discourse in recent state administration studies. This is due to the low performance of employees in providing services and on the other hand the emergence of the concept of privatization, privatization, work contacts that basically want to minimize government intervention that is too large in public services.
This study aims to determine the performance of employees at the Telaga Langsat District Office, Hulu Sungai Selatan District, as well as to find out what factors hinder the performance of employees at the Telaga Langsat District Office of Hulu Sungai Selatan District.
This type of research is descriptive qualitative, with primary data sources coming from informants. The data digging tools used were interviews for primary data and observation and documentaries for secondary data. While the data analysis was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner.
The results showed that the performance of Telaga Langsat District Hulu Sungai Selatan District staff was good enough despite the lack of staff, employees were able to do the work in an amount that was in accordance with the set targets, even though the time in the work was quite long due to limited work time, but employees already serious enough in doing their work and trying to finish it on time because each employee already has their respective duties, functions and positions which contain obligations and responsibilities towards the main tasks and functions they must do in accordance with the Regulations No. 044 Year 2009 concerning the main tasks, functions, details of tasks and work procedures of elements of sub- district organizations. Employee performance is related to quality, quantity, and timeliness simultaneously have a significant effect on service quality that has weaknesses. This does not at the same time describe or does not become a benchmark that these three indicators have contributed to the quality of employee performance in the Telaga Langsat District of Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency.
