Abstrak

Some of the weaknesses of Vocational High School (SMK) graduates are that they are less able to adapt to the development of science and technology, are difficult to be retrained, and are less able to develop themselves. Physics lessons as one of the adaptive program lessons are expected to contribute to overcoming these problems. The development of learning programs is carried out through the following stages: (1) analysis of the National Competency Standards (SKN) in the field of Building Engineering to obtain the characteristics required by a job; (2) analysis of the SMK curriculum to obtain a description of the competence of graduates; and (3) preparation and testing of learning programs. The results showed that physics learning based on productive programs gave direction to the implementation of active student learning, in guided experiments, discussing experimental results, answering questions, directing teachers as facilitators and providing a better impact than regular learning in increasing mastery of physics concepts. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested that the learning of SMK physics based on productive programs so that students know the benefits of physics, increase learning motivation, improve thinking skills, and self-development.
