The implementation of employee work motivation at the Pelaihari District Office seen from the aspect of
intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation has been carried out in accordance with the procedures and authority of
the leadership but the results are still not optimal. The cause of the less than optimal results achieved due to several
obstacles. The factors that hinder the implementation of this employee's work motivation are the lack of appreciation
for employees, the incompatibility of the type of work, the sub-district head has not been firm in giving sanctions to
employees who violate work discipline so that work arrears are still found even though they are not conspicuous. is
employee discipline to prevent work arrears, maintain the condition of the flow of communication and information
between the Camat and employees and increase the Camat's attention to employee development.
