This study aims to determine differences in working discipline of teachers based on the leadership style of principal of Elementary Schools in North Banjarmasin districts.The population in this study was all state elementary school (SDN) teachers in North Banjarmasin district, as many as 460 people. In order to obtain the sample for each school it is determined by proportional random sampling.The number of sample was determined by Slovin formula, and obtained a sample of 219 people. Techniques of data collection were questionnaire and study documentation. The questionnaire used was of two (2) pieces: the teacher questionnaire for working discipline and leadership style. The validity of questionnaire was tested by using Pearson Product Moment Correlation and its reliability by using Cronbach's Alpha. The number of questions tested was 30. To determine differences in working discipline of teachers based on leadership style of principal One-Way ANOVA.
The results shows that (1) working discipline of SDN teachers in North Banjarmasin district is as the following: 18 schools (46,15%) were in high classification, and 21 schools (53,84%) were in low classification, (2) the leadership style of the principal of SDN teachers in North Banjarmasin district consists of: 9 schools (23.07%) were in the form of instruction, 15 schools (38.46%) were in the form of consultations, 3 schools (7.69%) were in the form of participation, and 12 schools (30.76% ) were in the form of delegation.The results shows there was no differences in teachers' working discipline based on leadership style.
